How we started

We created Slime Obsidian to give people a healthy way to manage stress that doesn’t involve a smartphone. From our founder's garage to our ever expanding slime warehouse, our goal has always been to help users decompress and find balance in a tangible, screenless way.

The Next Chapter

In 2017, Slime Obsidian started with a few bottles of glue, a handful of ingredients, and a lot of curiosity.

What began as a creative hobby quickly grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Over the years, we had the privilege of creating millions of slimes, building an incredible community, and turning a teenage passion project into a business that reached customers all around the world.

After eight unforgettable years, we made the difficult decision to close Slime Obsidian and move on to new adventures.

It wasn't because we stopped loving slime.

In fact, one of the things we loved most was the process of creating it—the testing, experimenting, tweaking formulas, and discovering new textures. Slime has always been equal parts science, creativity, and play.

As we thought about what came next, we kept coming back to one question:

How could we keep that creativity alive even after the shop closed?

The answer was simple: share the recipes.

For years, our formulas lived behind the scenes. They were refined through thousands of batches, countless experiments, and lessons learned from running a slime business for nearly a decade. Rather than letting that knowledge disappear with the company, we decided to make it available to the community that helped build it.

Today, our recipe collection allows anyone—from complete beginners to experienced slime makers—to recreate many of the textures and techniques that made Slime Obsidian what it was.

While the slimes themselves may be gone, the creativity behind them doesn't have to be.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We can't wait to see what you create.
